  • New shelves at the shop...

Got a pretty good deal on some new shelves for the shop. Got it all set up this morning. Not 100% set up, but it's getting there. We had COMPLETELY out grown the size of the old shelves. We had product and pads everywhere!! Also painted the walls and epoxy coated the floors since this old picture was taken.

    Old...

    New...

Now we gotta work on this area. This is directly across from the product shelves. Not exactly sure what we're gonna do over here. Mainly this will be for tools and odds and ends. Stuff not detailing related.

    Looks nice and heavy duty.

Maybe your old shelves will form a nice little nook on the other side....

Thanks guys! They are industrial shelving. Bought it all(except the plywood) for $60. Picked up the plywood from Home Depot this morning along with some other odds and ends for them. All in all I have $150 in all the shelves. Would've like to of painted them, but just didn't have time to do that much painting.

Yes we are still mobile. This is storage for the chemicals and all my buffing supplies. We do about 80% of our work mobile, and about 20% there at the shop. It's SO nice having everything there at the shop. Not having customers come to my house. But I do miss just getting out of bed and having my business right there. The shop is about a 20 minute drive from my home. Where I live it would've cost me about $3g a month for a shop this size, so I couldn't afford that. That would just be profit out the door Had to compromise on this place, but I love it!

I really do like the new shelves and the paint looks good as well. I'm a contradiction in that I like to be neat and have a place for everything but in the end, I end up with a mess. Having all that space should make it easy to keep neat.

I also like the big open space to work in. I remember growing up I rented a storage space for an old Le mans convertible I was working on. It was nice to have a space to go to and just work until I was to tired to see straight. Course, it was not "work" as I was doing it for my own benefit but it was nice to have a separate place that I could do this.
