Was it pretty fragile, or was it strong?

I once put swirls in my paint just to see what it looked like.

        I don't always detail cars, but when I do, I prefer Meguiar's.
        Remove swirls my friends.

It was about 2 " thick and it just crumbles.

That is surprising. Did not think it would crumble. Break apart, yes. But, not crumbles.

Shame on You! I see some swirls!

              hehe, just kiddin'

              Polish it up.

Crumbling shows you how weak it is

is it solid or is it soft and flexible? I would expect tit o be flexible enough to move for those of us with dents on our cars.
A Pontiac is a Chevy with better trim.

I am thinking more of putting all the pieces in a cup and pop it in the microwave and re flow it.

Soft & squishy crumbles very easily.

i think the yellowish is to allow a feeling of deepness ?
it can be noticed on headlights that have been reconditioned by clear coat spraying.

The yellow cast varys greatly from one paint mfg to another, Years back you would pour clear into a mix cup and some of them were really yellow looking and on lighter colored cars sometimes that did cause issues but they are a lot clearer now.
