The worst interior mess?

Mud and stain are probably not as bad as organic animal waste.
Found this a while ago and thought it's kind of disgusting... MAYBE a repost?

So story goes.... I drove home to Tampa to see this girl that I met on my cruise a few weeks back. I go inside to let the girl know I was there, not thinking she wouldn't be off yet. So I'm waiting for her to get off work and I left my dog in the car for 10 minutes. I go check on her and everything is fine. Then 5 minutes later, I go to put something in my car anddddd this is what I see

Just a few minutes after the disaster...I wiped down the passenger seat already. That one was even worse


And she decided to walk all around my car!


The day after...before starting to clean. I had already wiped down everything with a paper towel to try to get as much as I could off the night before.






She somehow managed to get some on the door


The other door was much worse


And naked car...




I spent 8 hours cleaning the interior. Unfortunately, it got in all the little holes in the seats. I did everything I could...from using a terry towel, a brush, and even a tooth brush. Nothing would take it out of the holes. I sprayed probably 10x as much leather cleaner/condtioner as I should have to attempt to relieve the smell. FAIL! My car still smells like ****. I sprayed it down with Lexol leather conditioner a few days ago, which helped a little...but the **** smell is just as bad after sitting in the sun for more than 10 minutes.

Then I took her to the beach Sunday for some fun. I love my dog...

Weird thing is, even the dog got sick from the incident.

I would say re-post. I saw this a few years back. I'm thinking that even if I got my car clean again, which I think he did, I'm not sure it would be the same, knowing what I know about it. It would certainly sway me to get something newer.

you took the most noble job, in cleaning up the aftermath.......many years ago, i remembered i help out my dad to clean my bed ridden grandpa....nothing fancy & no rewards for the task....but eventually when i was working in the children homes, i clean all their backs.....one day when we was in a Sunday service, this autistic child poo-ed in his pants & split in the church...while cleaning it My pastor saw & said u r a noble guy....i just smile & thank God for my earlier experience prepared me for this.......

I think it's feces. The color of the waste is clue. I think some dogs are trained not to do that sort of things in the "closed-space", such as houses, cars, etc.

If the smell persists, I would seriously consider filing a claim with your insurance company to first have them pay for a professional cleaning.

If the smell is eliminated- great!
If not, then that would likely prove your case that the smell is super-stubborn!

I am guessing that they would pay for new leather seating surfaces (not the whole seat- just the leather/vinyl that covers the seat frame and cushioning).

Would the insurance rate or deductible increase if a person were to make an insurance claim about something like this? Just curious. Apparently the dude got rid of the smell and is selling the car right now. The perforated leather is apparently making things worse...
