  • No no no!

I just went in the laundry room to switch some MF towels and I saw a mouse, which im assuming means there are at least 30 million more. DECON and Mouse Traps my best bet? Nothing makes me feel as dirty as mice and roaches!

Get some glue traps. Pickup some rubber gloves and a new mop while you are at it.

Are you wanting to kill them or do a trap-and-release type thing?

I don't know about the mice, but with a post count of 666, you'd better get to typin'. Post something, anything.

The glue traps are effective, but cruel. The poison sachet's are quite good. Just follow the recommendations....I think you need to wear latex disposable gloves, when handling them. If the mice get one sniff of you on the food, they won't touch it! They know the saying...'Beware the hand of man'

                    Pity you're allergic.....cat's do a good job!

I use that Decon open a box and stick a few around the dryer, hot water heater closet and what not, live in a rural area with farms all around me and haven't had any problems in a while.

Get a pitbull or a shar-pei, they hate small animals.

If you want to go the live trap approach, they love peanut butter. Place of fair amount in the trap and it will quickly lure in 2-3. Release a considerable distance from the house and load up and try again. It will take a few days but you will quickly round up the adults. Once you start seeing the little ones you can go longer times between checking the traps but will need to keep it up for awhile.

For "snap traps" use pieces of bacon, they can't grab them without snapping the trap.

Since you live in farm country, then a tom cat is your best bet. I have one that's neutered, and it keeps him close to the house, and on rat patrol.

Since you have an allergy, I would make him stay outside at all times. I have an allergy to cats too, but mine tends to get better after my body, over time, adjusts to the dander.
