    These guys are killing me!

    Years ago,these creatures only got you at night. Over the past 10yrs,came the 'Tiger' variety. These little monsters get you during the day aswell. I've been working outside on the car for about 2-3 hrs and can count 10+ bites on my arm and one behind my ear. Do you get them aswell?

      I get them all the time when working!! I spray down with some bug spray before washing but usually dipping my hand in buckets and getting hit with some water it washes off and man do they itch!! I got one of my forehead one time! those little suckers are annoying! lol

        Very itchy!!!!

        I use a spray bottle with spirit/water(IPA Wipedown?),but don't touch the bites with anything...that just aggravate's them more. This works well enough. These ones are newcomers. I think they originate from Asia.
        I whacked one earlier on the side of my palm....What a mess!...It must have been full of blood.

        John...Do you guys not get 'Fire Ants' aswell? From what I seen,they are real nasty.

          That one looks like he could do some damage! Oddly enough I never have any real problems with mosquitos.
          Bees on the other hand, not so much luck. One got me the other day after filling up the car, ambushed me by landing on my seat back and blending in with the fabric, didn't know he was there until he got 2 on me.

          Yeah Texas has fire ant's, and killer bees, and scorpions... Ran into lots of unfriendly wildlife when I was stationed down there.

            I hate those things. Listerene mouth wash does a pretty good job at keeping them away, pour some around where I'm working. That and I just about soak my ankles in Off.
            Mosquitos are very bad here. It doesn't help that I live next to a creek.

              Only real problem I have is gnats and the stray bee sometimes. But I do hate those pesky gnats!

                I do not have a problem with those bugs. However the fire ants are in Florida also. Pity the person that gets bit from them.

                  I've got more of a spider problem (brown recluse) than I'd like to admit. All ant hills in my yard and quickly filled with gasoline and lit on fire. Mosquitos I can handle, but spiders and wasps give me spooks.

                            Good question....I don't have a front yard...I live right on the street...What region are your family from? I hope they're into Meguiar's?


                            About the bugs. Mosquitos have been known to kill certain individuals(europe,there is no malaria),but very,very rarely.I think must be some kind of allergy?.....But,as for Colonel Cash...I don't fancy that! Brown recluse..WOW!...That would freak me out....If I'm not mistaken,one bite from them and your talking amputation,if you survive! Or is it funnel web spiders?

                            We do get scorpions here aswell,but european or mediteranean scorpions are small. They are not deadly,but the sting is sore.
