  • Anyone from Grand Forks ND on line here?

Just looking to save some legwork on finding a Megs supplier in Grand Forks. I'm specifically looking for Ultimate Compound, SwirlX and Ultimate Quick Wax of which none are available North of the border. I know I can add them to an order from ADS which I would normally do but these are low cost items and I'm pretty well stocked up so I'm not planning a major ADS order and yet I could use those three items...... As we're talking $30 tops for the product, ordering from AG or some such would just add an additional $30 in shipping alone, not to mention the insult added to the bill by taxes and handling fees charged by Customs Canada.

I'm heading down south for a quick shopping trip in a couple of weeks so any help on where I should go would be greatly appreciated.

    Regards

Well, my uncle lives in Fargo, ND, and he is the manager at the Mills Fleet Farm there. He has told me that they carry Meguiar's products. You might check there and see what they have for a selection. Here's the info on his store:

    Mills Fleet Farm
    3730 36th St S
    Fargo, ND 58104
    (701) 298-7700

I did a Mapquest search, and to go from Grand Forks to the given address would be about an hour and twenty minutes, so you would have to decide if it would be worth the drive for you or not. But go ahead and give them a call first and see if they have the items you want in stock so you don't make the trip for nothing. Hope this helps!

I was just at a Wal-Mart in a suburban of St. Paul and they had all three prodcuts. Most of the newer consumer products took a while to get to the north/midwest, but I think if you look around at big-box retailers like a Wal-Mart of a good parts store they should be available over the counter for you. Plus all three should be under your $30 price target.

        Thanks guys,

I was just looking to save some time if I end up going as far as Grand Forks. My mail drop is in Neche, ND and it's a good 2hr round trip to GF from there, a full 4+ hr round trip to Fargo from the same spot. Sooo.... I'll just add it all to my next ADS order and pick it up in Neche. If the Rolling Pin Dept. decides she wants to go south for a shopping trip, I'll scope out the local Target, K-Mart and Walmart to see what they have. It is kinda frustrating though, this US/Canada issue. I picked up ScratchX 2.0, ColorX, Gold Class trim Detailer and M40 locally, but UC and SwirlX are not available North of the border as far as I can tell. I can understand not being able to get the Detailer line due to a limited audience, but UC and SwirlX are consumer products and hail from the same time frame as ScratchX 2.0, so why is it not available here?!?!? .

        Oh well...
