Cash for clunkers...what do you think

What do you think of the cash for clunkers program?

Personally I think its another waste of taxpayer money. It provides temporary benefit to the car dealers and manufacturers, but rewards those who bought the 'clunker', e.g. poor gas mileage car in the first place.

Its interesting how different the D and R led governments are run isn't it?

So what is next? Appliances etc.......... I think we need to refocus on the real issues we have facing our economic problems. I will end it there because I know we cannot get political here!

I don't like it because the companies who we are trading these "clunkers" to are going to scrap them. I like old cars with poor gas milage and inevitably they will become a dying breed. It's like offering a reward for putting old cars out of their misery.

Politically I also don't agree, but that is for another time and place.

I think it's a bad deal and I don't much care for it at all.

If it wasn't for me, my car would probably be dead right now.
