  • I love ADS! (Christmas 7/30/09)

So I chased down the UPS guy. No, I'm not as crazy as you are thinking. I had a detail job set up and needed some detailing staples like Hyper-Dressing and APC. I found the guy driving around the neighborhood and demanded my packages (apologetically asked is a bit more accurate). I got three neat 24lb packages and hastily threw them in my trunk. I made my way home and began the laborious (albeit exciting) task of retrieving all my wonderful products from the seemingly endless abyss of packing popcorn.

    Here be the loot:

I am thrilled, I can't wait to use some on my own car. I used a lot of them on my boss' car (my first professional detail), pics will arrive in another thread tomorrow.

Congrats! That's the best part--digging through the tons (figuratively) of packing peanuts!

Now that you remind me, I'm due to order a few new things from ADS...

Nice order! That Wheel Brightener and M80 is going to last you a longggggg time!

I once put swirls in my paint just to see what it looked like.

        I don't always detail cars, but when I do, I prefer Meguiar's.
        Remove swirls my friends.

Maybe not, I have single stage paint so M80 is a must for my own car. Plus, most of my friends/potential customers from car shows also have single stage on their classics. I figured it was best to buy it in one gallon than to buy a little one and run out on two cars: mine and my friends 1966 Cadillac Coupe Deville (which I might run out of M80 on stil ).

Well since you have a lot of cars planned ahead of you then that's great! Just make sure you aren't over-loading too much product, or applying too much for each application otherwise your pad is going to get saturated, become very heavy, and not spin as much and thus not work as well or remove as many defects. A gallon is A LOT of product that will get you through a ton of cars. (also if you are keeping your ss paints regularly waxed, you aren't going to be needing to constantly buff it out with M80, it is just that ss oxidizes really fast when it is without protection)

AutoDetailingSolutions, an online vendor of Meguiar's supplies . (Because sometimes people don't use Google even after you tell them what the acronym means ).

Best online vendor of detailing supplies I've used, I must say.

Well, if you search for ADS on google, you would have to browse through a whole list of websites before you could find ADS the detailing store based in Arizona.

Calais are you just starting your detailing business? Is this your first major shipment of supplies?

                          By the way, to Rick:

You know your company is good when it's usually referred to as ADS and people still love it.

One water magnet towel definitely isn't enough, but very nice order!

Yes and yes. I have a whole bunch of Consumer Line products I have quickly accumulated and sometimes use them for jobs, but I needed a real shipment of bulk supplies to help reduce my overhead and keep me from going back to Pep Boys. So far I have fallen in love with APC and Hyperdressing. Having a lifetime supply of either would be the best thing ever.

I find that UQW is really useful when doing professional details, I wish it had a Mirror Glaze alternative.
