  • Blackberry Users on MOL.

    Hey all

Right now I have the Samsung Omnia on Verizon and I love it but I'm getting tired of the touch screen.

I like that the web browser shows pages exactly as they look on a computer. Do you guys with Blackberry's get the same look and do all the features of the forum work?

I'm thinking of upgrading to the Blackberry Tour or Curve but was wondering about the web browser quality.

    Thanks

    Ryan

I looked at the Blackberry Tour before I bought my phone, but I decided that I cannot afford the $30/month extra that a Blackberry demands.

I have the Omnia as well and the touch screen is starting to bug me. The new Tour looks really nice, I've yet to actually use it though. I wasn't a fan of the Storm, my friend has a lot of problems with his.

Yea all smart phones on Verizon and all other major carriers require the data plan im pretty sure.

I'm paying $20 a month for unlimited text, internet and e-mail on my Omnia, which I think is worth it.

Wow I wish I could find that deal. I'm paying $25 a month just for internet then we have a $15 text package for the entire family.

I have the Blackberry storm, the site takes a bit to load up but other than that, its good to read up on stuff on your down time. Certain sites have a mobile version of it, which I wish MOL would do.

You can only get it through a corporate account. My parents have one so that's how we got it. Check with your parents and see if where they work has a corporate account.

And I would get the iPhone if I was on ATT but Verizon doesn't have it...yet.

Yeah if Verizon gets the iPhone, I'm in. The interface is so much smoother compared to the Windows Mobile IMO. My mom owns her own business so I'm out on the corporate account.

I have a Curve 8320 with Tmobile. I use Opera Mini as my browser. Not too bad. The new web browsers used on BB's are much better than the prior ones. The page display options are much better.

The other thing I like is I pay $20 for my data plan, but dont get charged for tethering like some other companies do.

If I were you, Id go Tour over the Curve.

I have the 8320 from T-Mobile as well. Not a big web surfer from my phone, but it works when I need it. Also, I don't have a data plan....the phone has built in WiFi so I can just mooch off whatever network is in sight. My favorite thing is the UMA calling for $10 per month, perfect reception in my house all the time.
