I think it's time for a List O' Links v3.0.

If you guys haven't seen my other ones here they are.

I'm ready to compile a 3rd version and make it better so what do you guys want.

The point of the List O' Links is to provide new members with helpful links to popular questions and topics. It also helps the regular members link the popular threads to new members.

Any particular threads you would like to have in the list? Any ideas to make it more organized?

I have a little suggestion regarding improving MOL. It has little to do with List O' Links, however.

Many New Product threads created by Mike Phillips in yesteryears or prior still have the titles containing the word "NEW" in them. For example, UQD is no longer a new product. In fact, it is quite old by Meguiar's standards. Perhaps it would be a good idea to go back to those old threads and remove the word "new" from those threads. I don't know. It's just me.

I would say that the first section, or some area needs devoted to something like the 5-step system, basics, and what a person actualy needs to do.

Even in your current list, the 5-step link is buried.

Really, that is kind of a reason I dont usually give your list (besides other people sharing it), there isnt really a "You're brand new, here's what do section." A list of a hundred links is a little bit secondary for most brand new folks here.

As a side note, it would be nice to get the 5-step system link updated a bit. What with new products, and re-organzied.

All good ideas guys, keep 'em coming. Ryan, as always, thanks for your efforts here on MOL.


We have plans to do a variety of threads on very basic tasks, geared specifically for those new to surface care. We may look for some assistance with this down the road, especially when it comes to pictures of various steps in the different processes. A picture speaks a thousand words, as the saying goes, so we're hoping this collection of threads will clear up some basic concepts for folks.

We'll keep you all posted.

I'm continuing to work on this as we speak but I'm not just doing it for me. It's to help people out finiding common threads quicker.

Any more input or threads you guys want in there?

Thanks Ryan..I didn't even know it existed!

I think this is a great idea,and should be fixed at the top of Detailing 101 as the initial post.Relevant parts should also be taken and put as initial headers in other links,like 'Working by hand','DA' etc.

Two important ones that could have a place of their own could be the 5 step procedure and the aggressivness of the consumer line products,as these are the most frequentley asked questions.

If I didn't know about it,what chance has a new member got.
