Re: Other Than the Car, Where do You Use Meg's?

This is quite an old (archived) thread, but I got to ask you all this question: After using the APC/APC+, do you follow up with a wet cloth - i mean after using the product on say countertop do you use a wet (water) cloth over it or just wipe it with dry towel/paper? Thanks

Usually just leave it alone. Just wiping a counter shouldnt leave much residue.

If I can feel some kind of residue, like I had to use a lot of APC maybe, then I would use a damp towel.

What's your experience with APC+ on wooden cabinets and Stainless Steel appliances (spray on cloth and wipe it clean)???

          Just APC in my experience...

It wouldn't be my first choice on a good wood item... I tend to go with something like QID, or a wood product. On something that is the laminated kind of thing, and closer to plastic anyway, APC has been ok for me.

Dont know if I have really used APC on bare stainless... At least not in a place I could really look at it, like a big fridge door. Though an appliance might not be bare metal anyway. Would be safe... but something like QD, QID, UQD, etc may leave the better look.

I tend to use APC at 8:1 for everything, but could dilute it more as well to make it more gentle.

Thanks Murr - do you think for shower tubs and curtains 8:1 will be decent enough? What about the carpet cleaning inside house (I have Hoover and container holds about a gallon) and carpet hasn't been washed since last 5 years. Do you think 10:1 on that would be a good way go? Sorry for all my crazy questions but the thing is I recently got a gallon size Meg's APC.. and trying to find different ways of using it all around... and you seem to have quite a knowledge on this product... Thanks again..

I dont know if I have 'knowledge'... I have 'it looks dirty, try the APC....'

If it wasnt super dirty, 8:1 should cover a tub, vinyl curtain for a wipedown.

APC+ would be good in an extractor type of thing, with it being non-foaming. Havent used it in an extractor myself, just by hand on spots, small areas. Worked good though in the house/car.

Keep in mind 10:1 is milder....

Thanks Murr - I'll stay between 5:1 (for heavy cleaning) and 8:1 for some general purpose...
When you say 10:1 is milder - as an...?

I wasnt sure from your last question if you were thinking 10:1 was milder or stronger than 8:1...

Some folks have been confused if the 8, 10, etc is the water or APC.

                    Oh no, that part I'm clear - 8(water):1(APC)... Thanks : )
