I'm going to be doing a complimentary detail on a friend's '55 Plymouth Belvedere in a few weeks, many pics to come. I also have a Ford Excursion scheduled for the 25th.

I can already tell you that I'm going to need to use aggressive clay, I can visually see the bonded contaminants. I tried to hit it with white clay and it took so many passes. I'm going to give it a couple passes with M80 too. Expect a whole bunch of before and after pictures as well as a few 50/50's. Some rust spots I can't do too much about, but I'll see what I can do.

I remember when they took it out of the vault. It was a shame that the vault leaked.

I live a couple miles from Tulsa and I was there when it came out... poor car. They had a contest and whoever guessed the closest to the population of Tulsa when it was unearthed would receive the car. If they were deceased it would go their family. They tracked down the family and they came from Ohio or someplace to pick it up. I think I heard they were going to try and save it and restore it. About the muesem I am not sure.
