Baja Ready F150 at a factory price!!!

I've been following this car since they first started talking about it and its always amazed me.

Its the Ford F150 SVT Raptor.







Some of the specs are as follows, just amazing for less than $40,000.

Over 10in of front travel.
Over 12in of rear travel.
4.10 axle gearing.
6.2l V8 engine pushing out 400ft-lbs and 400hp.

It's ready to do anything basically and comes with a warrenty.

Just crazy.

I was supposed to be at the official Hollywood unveiling of a docu-film about how Ford raced the Raptor in the Baja 1000... except the guy who had my tickets fell off the side of the planet and never replied.

It was a special celebrity/industry only event, too. I was going to get in because of my Fiesta

Anyway, that truck is seriously awesome. I mean, SERIOUSLY awesome. It's also on my radar for potential 2nd vehicle in the future.

It's an amazing truck and can kick some serious butt off road. It's got an option where you can de-sensitize the air bags for offroading that way they don't go off on you when you hit hard bumps

I'm not the biggest Ford fan....

But! that Raptor and just about every vehicle that Ford has been putting out has been a nice rig for sure!

Mark has been slowly converting me with the whole Fiesta thing and the fact that Ford has survived going bankrupt over Chrysler and my GM.....

It's a nice truck for sure!

I cannot talk the wife into a Ford, unless it's a Shelby Mustang, a little bit out of my price range at the moment

I've had a number of Ford's over the years, all of them left me with a positive story. Even sold the suckers for about a year. Over all of the years the SVT team has come up with some great additions to the Ford line-up. More companies should have such a group in their back pocket.

Ive been looking at trucks to take over my lease in about 2 years and this looks very promising, plus under 40k and all that power looks very appealing. Just the decals need to go.

Saw this at the St Louis Auto Show in January I think it was. It was on a turntable so getting in it, damn impressive. It even has clearance lights mandated by DOT since it is about 9"?? winder than a normal F-150 according to the Ford rep that was there.

They also had a Raptor simulator with floating style driver seat, 3 screens in front of you, was an awesome simulator.

The decals are an extra option, I think $800~ so leaving them off will keep the price down

"Raptor - Born in Baja" is a documentary film about the development of this truck. It will air on Speed Channel this Sunday, July 12 at 4:00 PM. I'm going to watch
