  • Probably the wrong place to ask (zymol related)

I ordered a jar of wax and a catalog from zymol earlier this week and took the complimentary shipping option...
Has anyone else ordered from their website? How long does standard shipping usually take? I'm getting antsy...I have my first black car ever and the paint looks great after polishing with all my meguiars products, but my id is taking over and I want my new wax now (any other psych majors/minors? )...

I only ordered two days ago, but for some reason I thought it would have been here by now :-(
If a tree falls in the forest and there's nobody there to record the event, how can you be certain that there was a tree or even a forest to begin with?

Driven by competition (and monopolies), standard shipping by couriers in America usually takes 7 working days.

Any sort of free shipping option will take the longest time possible (cheapest). For example, Amazon's free shipping says 7-10 business days...

To give you free shipping, it will be at there cheapest option. I would plan on at least 5 business days.

I know that it would be the longest option, I was just wondering what people's experience with them said. I figured that it would go out USPS, but I don't know, which is why I asked you guys.
If nobody has ordered direct from them before...

Hehe, I don't order through them enough to need the membership, otherwise I'd have it! I order enough through Summit Racing, but their warehouse is in Sparks, NV, so I get everything in 1 day anyways, lol!

I got the membership when I was living up in the mountains and the nearest store that sold anything I wanted was Walmart, and even that was about 45 minutes away (when it wasn't snowing). The membership paid for itself in about a month when I was up there. It's nice to get things fast when you don't pay shipping! Getting things fast through Summit must be nice.

My wax showed up today, I ordered it on Tuesday night through Zymol's website. Strangely enough, the catalog that I ordered last Thursday showed up at the same time. It was shipped via USPS.

Again, it's probably the wrong place to mention it, but after trying this stuff out, I don't feel ripped off at all. It leaves a noticeable increase in depth, gloss, and clarity, even over MPPP (which is my favorite Meguiars wax)...at $101 a jar, it's not going to be used regularly, just for special occasions like going out for nice dinners, birthdays, anniversaries, car shows, etc.
It goes on like softened butter and wipes off ridiculously easy...I like it.

But while I was out at the local PBE shop today, an older gentleman was trying to decide what Wax to buy and I gave him my unconditional recommendation of NXT 2.0, and he ended up buying it! I like plugging Meguiars whenever possible, it's great stuff.

I was wondering if they were going to use USPS. I wouldn't mind trying the Carbon wax if it didn't cost so much.

With the amount that you actually have to use per waxing, it actually doesn't cost that much. I'd say that I've only used a few grams out of the jar and I've used it on my porsche twice now. I'm expecting to get at least 30-40 waxings out of the 8oz jar, so it comes out to about $2.88 per waxing ($101 for the jar of Glasur).
By comparison, I get about 10 waxings out of a bottle of NXT 2.0 ($20), making it $2 a wax.
Bigger initial investment on the Zymol, but I think it should even out by the time I'm through the Jar.

With Carbon, depending on usage (assuming it's commensurate with the Glasur), it could actually come out to be cheaper than NXT 2.0.

But use what you like, and use it often (we miss you Mike!)

Funny, I think some top-notch detailed made a thread saying just that with pics of his own beautiful vehicle to back it up.

Thanks Justin! Just too big of an initial investment for me, to be more precise. Maybe one of these days. Finally getting money again (nice having a job) and am buying actual parts for the cars instead. My like 10 bottles of wax I have now will have to do.
