They were probably saying, "When is this guy going to leave us along?" Was Kevin wearing his legendary hat??

Elvis... at least I think it was Elvis. He said he was in a hurry to get to his job at the 7-11.

When I lived in Maryland, Emmy Lou Harris's parents, Bucky & Genia, were my parishioners. They had my wife and I over to dine with them and their daughter. We had a delightful time.

When I was a junior in high school, I spent six weeks as a page in the U.S. House of Representatives. I saw a number of famous politicians. I road down the elevator once with Teddy Kennedy. I said hello and he said hello back.

When I was in seminary, my wife and I had Michael Ramsey and his wife Joan over to our house for dinner on two occasions. Ramsey was the 100% Archbishop of Canterbury and one of the great Anglican churchmen of the 20th century.

Got to meet Brooks Robinson and Johnny Unitas a few times, my father-in-law was their accountant. And met most of the 98-2002 Washinton Capitals, as a referee I got to skate the pre-season try outs. Bondra is really quick.

I saw the pope but didn't meet him. I met Weird Al Yankovic, a whole bunch of famous comedians, a number of politicians, the owner of the the Jacob Javitts center in Manhattan (and played a virtual reality game with him). In junior high school I was friends with the current youngest chess grandmaster in the word, Fabiano Caruana; but he moved to Hungary. A few famous athletes, I am not into sports so much, so I was never really star-struck.

Nobody, outside of local TV personalities, or local elected officials. But my wife's uncle had Chuck Yeager for a co-pilot in WWII. Plus another uncle knew Elvis Presley before he became famous. He used to pick up a young Elvis in a church bus and taught in some of his Sunday School classes as well. Elvis used to sing and play gospel music in church with his first guitar.
