I'll need to get this DA to keep me occupied.....

    Any advice?

Good luck! You can do it if you really want to.

Keep busy! Would chewing gum or something help?

supposedly a glass of water helps fight the craving. helped me a little when I tried to quit chewing.

The best way to stop? Be like me and never start! The smell of cigarettes makes me sick. Nasty habit.

Here you go. A quick google search turned this up. Check it out and see if there's anything that might help. http://www.cdc.gov/tobacco/quit_smok...quit/index.htm

Good luck, its not easy. Take a lot of will power and you can only quit when you want to. I tried the patch 2 years ago, that didnt work. I just started taking chantix yesterday. Will be interesting to see how it works.
If its fast, loud, and runs on a flammable liquid...count me in.

they say it takes 21 days to quit ANY bad habbit. Hang in there brother, the end result of being a non smoker is well worth the wait.....21 days is not a long time, chew some sunflower seeds, go for a run do something, it will pass like anything else

Yeah I used to really be bothered by the smell of cig smoke but after a year of being at a college where probably more than 90% smoke and being around my ex's grandparents who smoke I got really used to it. Probably not a good thing Only smoked a few times (cigars) with my dad when I turned 18 and on the golf course with my uncle and his friend.

Maybe try replacing your craving with something else. Like everytime you get the craving to smoke go detail part of your car. Reprogram your brain to have a different craving

Good luck, Eddie. Tried the patch a while back. no luck. Starting today in Florida the cigarette tax increases by $1.00 per pack. Decided to try to quit once again. The wife ask me not to stop till after the 4th of July weekend. So next week is it.
