  • Cleaning carpets. Advise...

I wouldnt mind having a nice hot water extractor, but money permits right now, so in the mean time im looking for a cheap and inexpensive carpet cleaning product. I have heard mix reviews about this http://seattle.craigslist.org/tac/hsh/1229763667.html . I am not concered about some water left on the carpet, my Vac can pull it out. But overall would you reccomend this?

I should have been more specific, im needing something thats going to do a "decent" job on stains. Are you justing using APC+ and agitation along with your Vac?

APC Plus, Quik Out, or the Detailer Line Carpet and Upholstery Cleaner followed by some agitation with an All Surface Interior brush and then my Shop Vac

I had a Durramaid extractor and sold it. For tough spots I use Folex. For general cleaning I use APC with my steamer.

You were the one that hooked me on Folex! Great carpet cleaning solution!

I also held off on buying a Durramaid, after doing more research on it. Thank you for your fair assessment of it. How's the steamer working out for you? I want one, just can't get myself to press the BUY button yet.

The steamer works great. The only issue I have is when its 100F + inside the car and you bring on the steam...very uncomfortable..glad it works quickly.

See the Hummer H1 detail I did for evidence of both Folex and the steamer.
