Tim,Thanks very much for explaining that.As you said, doing things for a living can take its toll.I don't think anyone doing this as a hobby(normal,Not excessive) would have much bother unless they have had circulatory problems before.everything is good in moderation,as you said.

Xantonin,i don't think any kind of gloves can help you here. The vibes will still transmit through your arms. It's a bit like a boxer with a head protector. It doesn't protect his brain.

Maybe someone can shed some light on this if they already use a pair of gloves

Well, here's a picture from Graingers.... I just searched for "anti vibration gloves" via scroogle and I got lots of hits. The glove below goes for somewhere around $19 if I remember correctly. There are many versions, some full finger, some not.... cyclists use something along the same lines to absorb the road shock sent up through the handlebars etc.

Tim has it correct rub the insides of you're fingers and if it feels numb it's cs. I have had the operation on my left hand a few years back and it is fine starting to get some on my right hand. my wife has had both hands done and she is fine now also. the operation is very simple and quick and relieves the pain . well worth getting in my opinion.

          Hey Paul,

I thought it would be a good idea to get the operation as well. However, once my father had it done and his hands hurt worse than ever, I am now hesitant...

            You are welcome.

I have tried all kinds of gloves from the typical Mechanix, weight lifting gloves to heavily padded gloves used for off road mountain bike riding. My hands still go numb/tingly quickly. However, wearing gloves before you have CS may help...I do not know. But I would try as I know that having CS is not fun...

It's also known as Low Level Laser Therapy. It's been in Europe since the 1970's and the USA since 2002. It promotes soft tissue healing and repair. It accelerates the healing process by getting the cells of the tissue excited to repair old cells or create new cells and can even help heal irritated nerves.
