  • My muscle cars

So I finally decided to go ahead and post pics of my diecast muscle cars on here. I've been meaning to do it for a while, but just haven't done it. I did a quick mini detail on each one. Enjoy!

    Process on each car:
Swirl X (except on the Mustang)
PlastX on windshield and rear window
    NXT 2.0

The General didn't get a detail because it gets kept in its display box.

    1957 Chevy Corvette

    1967 Ford Mustang GT 500

    1969 Chevy Camaro Z28

1969 Dodge Charger R/T "General Lee"

One thing I discovered is that I don't like detailing little cars. Too hard to access. I just try to keep my eye out for any cool cars I might happen to see. Trying to find a regular 1969-1970 Dodge Charger R/T or Challenger R/T, but no such luck yet. Thanks for looking!

No, I didn't dress the tires. They were just too small for me. I had a hard enough time trying to wax each car and not get fingerprints on them at the same time!

wait did you really do that to each car???

I once put swirls in my paint just to see what it looked like.

        I don't always detail cars, but when I do, I prefer Meguiar's.
        Remove swirls my friends.

Yes I did. I think I have a sickness. Nobody can figure out what's wrong with me. Oh doctor!

Hi ciera. Thanks for sharing. Those models are really cool.

                I've got a '69 Dodge Charger R/T.

On my '66 Pontiac GTO,I actually opened it up and put window tints on it!!

I've just been too busy to detail these models recently.

The charger is made by ERTL.I'll see if there is a site..........

There is:A page full of Chargers...CooooL!

Nice collection. I wonder if it would help you detailing them if you used the foam detailing sticks? Just typing out loud.

I think a post should be used here, specificaly for model collectors, that use Meguiar's products to maintain them.

I've used NXT 2.0 plenty of times on my 69 camaro

How did you tin the windows, Eddie?

hi Golden,I just unscrewed the underneath and removed the body shell. Some models are a bit tricky to open because of the steering mechanism.I only had light smoke.would have been better with midnight black.

I took a quik pic,(It's filthy with dust.Looks as if it's been driving for a day through the desert.I've just not had any time to do any thing recently):

I'm going to give it the works soon!!!!!!

Sweet models. Are they diecast or put together by you? Very cool though.

They're diecast. I don't think I have the patience to put together models. Couldn't say for sure as I've never tried. Might be fun!
