  • Honda S2000 to end

I've just checked around the internet and seen the bad news.

The sad news is finally official. Honda will halt production on the S2000 after the end of the 2009 model year.

    A real shame.A true roadster.

The model I seen was the Limited edition GT/with hardtop.

    What's next in line?

Yeah, I agree it made a nice little roadster, but here in the US I saw very few of them. In this economy, car manufacturers have to focus on producing what is selling.

A lot of manufacturers are getting hit hard. I did read on the internet, that up to a certain year,110,000 units were sold,of which 65,000 were in The USA.

Problem is there are too many other cars that cost 30% less for the same concept. S2000's are a bit on the high side.

That's true. But look at it this way.Expensive.yes.Compare it to the BMW line. Expensive? MX-5's.Nice roadsters.Don't have the same power output.

Don't forget. This is a True Roadster. You can't include cars which were originaly hatches or saloons, with the roof chopped off. They are not roadsters and don't have the same handling attributes.

(How's the 'Jack Daniel's' distillery gettin' on.Are you near it? I used to keep in touch with them years ago,but they had some kind of damage to their offices and a lot of guests paperwork got destroyed. They even invited me to come over and visit the distillery, but I couldn't go because of my job.

They used to send me letters every month.

          Great Whiskey!!!! .............................................................)
