Borrowed a neighbors rotary with a dirty wooly bonnet to buff off turtle wax that I applied horribly. That same day I also applied turtle wax brand polishing compound by hand like a wax. Needless to say the results were less that spectacular.
I used Dawn and Mr. Clean to wash my mom's car. She told me to.
I let my washcloth lay on the ground/hit the ground multiple times and didn't even rinse it off.
Windex on the windows and on a couple of smudged body panels.
Armorall, 'nuff said.
Cheapo wash soap that was $3/gallon. It has like no lubricity (compared to Gold Class that is). I ended up giving it to a neighbor after she delightedly told me that she planned on washing her brand new car with dish soap.
A friend from my car club was telling me about how he lets his daughter-in-law wash his beautiful '55 Plymouth with Mr. Clean. It's never been clayed or waxed. That is one complimentary job I will be doing once I get into detailing for money (this summer).
