I have seen this beautiful old classic around the same shopping center I frequent in San Diego on a number of occasions and have even approached the owner about bringing it to Meguiars in Irvine. The owner (Mario) says that mechanically he doesn't feel the old girl can make the 160 mile round trip. When I first saw this beauty, the paint was heavily oxidized and looked like it had been applied with brushes.
Mario recently had her repainted with a lacquer finish and the car is absolutely stunning. Looks like the body shop also paid due respect to the Grand Dame and polished her brightwork as well. I'm still trying to convince Mario to bring her in some day for one of the TNOG's. There's a little orange peel that's needs correction, or maybe I was just hoping it was orange peel for a chance to properly polish her up!
