That is sooooooooooo cool. Ed, makes you think of the Autostrada going North through the mountains and tunnels. You know the really cool thing, someone built it for us to enjoy and use. Think of all the hard labor that went into the one highway...???

It does remind me a bit of the twisters here!

Can you go for it, or do the give you a hard time?

Wow, I'd love to drive in a scenic place like that! Too bad there aren't too many in Jersey...

On Sunday we did Yarnell hill thru Prescott, then over Mingus mountain thru Jerome to Sedona for lunch with 40 Corvette's.
One guy was pulled over for 28 over and given a warning!!!
                I'll post some pictures tonight.
You trip looks like fun, I'll post it on our forum to see if anyone wants to make a run over there!

It's best to start up the 74 from the Starbucks on El Paseo in Palm Desert.

It's fun to run hard up mountain. Hair rasing coming down!

                      Re: Ummmm...twistys

My Crossfire group is looking to make this run in the next several weeks. Good news for me is that in order to hook up with the group I'd have to drive HWY 74 (AKA Ortega Highway) from my place to Lake Elsinore, so I'd get double the fun.

Yep, top down with a manual gearbox on twisty mountain roads is hard to beat, and tons of fun!
