This is probably the wrong forum to ask this since everyone here strives to maintain their paint, haha but anyway. A friend has a 92 Ford Escort that she's going to throw out as garbage soon, because the car failed its inspection in so many ways, and the engine already has over 200k miles. It was craiglisted for months and nobody wanted to buy it... Not even for $250. So we decided that we're gonna corrode the paint into some sort of art and make it a piece of art. What's the best way to corrode paint?

Re: Best way to corrode paint?
Not sure you can corrode the paint. You'd probably have to go through the paint down to the metal to get some corrosion action going on. Soda blast down to metal and let nature do it's thing to the untreated metal.Alex C.

Re: Best way to corrode paint?
If i was going to bin it anyway,i would pinch some panels off for practising with buffers or DA's or trying out different compounds...."It's easier to destroy than it is to make!"
If you really want to trash it,i can think of plenty nasty chemicals, there's plenty to choose from.....'makes me shiver!!!'
Get sigourney weaver to come round and blast a few aliens all over it!
