If I didn't get to you tonight, I will soon to all those that have taken the time to help me out, directly or indirectly. You know who you are! (and there a lot of you...this might take awhile ) Hey, it's the least I can do.
Lol akimel you are sportin some mad green dots right there! Maybe you will get two rows soon?
I once put swirls in my paint just to see what it looked like. I don't always detail cars, but when I do, I prefer Meguiar's.
Remove swirls my friends.
Is it just me, or did Rep Power just like bump up over night for some of you guys...It seems as if I went from 6 to 17 in the snap of a finger. On my User CP screen, I only have three recent Rep Power additions..am I missing something to have so many points all the sudden??

I think some of that has to do with how many rep points the person has who is giving you rep points. For example, I had given Superior Shine some rep points (he really didn't have very many, don't know why ) and all of a sudden he had a bunch more. That's my theory anyway.

I have a couple of speculations. First, I think that if you give Rep Power to someone who does not have many rep points, they will experience a bigger jump than when you give Rep Power who already has a bunch of points. Second, I think that the number of green squares reflects the number of times people have intentionally given you Rep Power, as opposed to getting Rep Power through the number of postings one has contributed to the forum.
But both of these are speculations. I may be completely wrong.

Okay I thought I understood. But, now all of this discussion has me really confused. You see in a thread my Rep Power = 19 but, on my User CP my Rep Points = 161. Like OMG what is the difference???? Although I found this little tid bit of info...
The User Reputation system allows forum members to leave comments about one anothers' posts, and thereby contribute to their overall 'reputation'.
User Reputation in its simplest form is a ranking of a user's benefit to our forum. Its basis comes from the opinions of all of forum users that choose take part in it.
Users gain and lose reputation based on how their posts are scored by other forum participants. Users with the ability to affect reputation, will either give or take aways points by approving or disapproving with a post's content.
There are two components to the system:
The first is your reputation LEVEL. This is the number of points you have earned as a result of other's opinions. Essentially, someone can agree or disagree with any post and your LEVEL will either increase, decrease or remain the same (in the case that someone does not have any reputation power). As your LEVEL increases, you will have more square pips in your posts (on the upper right corner). The more pips, the more reputation points you have on your LEVEL. Green is positive, red is negative, grey is neutral, and black is disabled. You can disable the display of your reputation LEVEL in your User CP.
The second is your reputation POWER. This is the relative power you have to affect someone else's LEVEL. Your individual power is a calculation based on the length of time participating in the forums, the number of posts, and your own repputation level. So, if you have been here a while, have a decent number of posts, and a good level, your POWER will be higher. Think of this as how you value someone's opinion. You will give more weight to the opinion of a trusted friend than a stranger. You can see your POWER in your User CP. When you give positive reputation, you will add points equal to your POWER to another user. When you give negative reputation, you will remove points equal to half of your POWER to another user. This prevents abuse.
The more you use the reputation system, the more robust the forums will become. It sounds confusing, but it is really pretty simple on the surface. You gain the ability to affect reputation by participating in the forum discussions, by giving out reputation and by receiving reputation. The dots associated with a user represent that user's reputation level as described below:
One green dot () is given for every started 100 reputation points.
From 500 points on, one bright green dot () is given for every started 200 reputation points.
One red dot () is given for every started 100 negative reputation points.
From 500 negative points on, one bright red dot () is given for every started 200 negative reputation points
If a user has 0 reputation points, a gray dot () is displayed.
If a user has chosen to turn off reputation in his UserCP, a black dot () is displayed. ========
Each VBulletin Forum can be programmed differently, so the above info wouldn't apply directly to the way MOL is setup. After finding the information above, my curiosity has been satisfied about Vbulletin REP.
Bottom line to our members: Hand out REP to members that help out others, post informative items, or in any other ways that make this a better forum. . " It was at this link http://meguiarsonline.com/forums/sho...p+Power&page=2
