  • Diablo for 5.7 WK

I'm buying this Diablo this coming week and my question is how much do you guys think my 1/4 time will improve with this?

Here's my best time slip so far. Mods: (CAI and Exhaust)

My main goal is to beat this time slip (one on the far left CAR #131): (Sorry Mario (QBNKID) )

    Can it be done?

im going to guess a half second faster due to revised fuel trim and shift points on a level 3 tune, its still a heavy truck but not bad to run a 14.1 maybe.

        14.62 base 1/4 with a 2.12 60ft with bolt ons

14.1x's with a better 60ft and the tune in stage 3, its there just depends on how many runs you can get in and how long of a cool down time between runs which is very important, runs should be left in in "D" and traction control off if you can, and dont forget to leave on the second yellow on the tree, it keeps you on your toes!

What I do now is ESP off, tow haul on and I autostick it.

As far as my R/T's. I am always at .0 something. They are down pat.

I ran the Diablo on my camaro before switching to HP tuners and a custom tune. If I remember, it dropped two to three tenths off my ET. The biggest improvement was the shift pressure and adjustable points. I really would just run the preset tunes and really don't mess with your fuel and spark tables. Without a wide band O2 sensor, you would be unable to make educated adjustments.

But yes I would invest in one if your not going to get into a custom tune anytime soon.

To get down to his time.. looks like its time for some N20!!!!!

My last E.T. was 11.70 on motor, and 10.82 on 150 horse shot...

Shoot me a P.M. if you want some more feedback..

              Are you flashing the converter?
Instead of stalling it as high as it will go try backing off 200 or 300 RPM,
If it stalls at say 2000 rpm try launching at 1800 rpm see if that drops your '60 times.

I'm waiting for FedEx to drop my Diablo off.

I spoke with Tbyrne and got this deal set up for everyone.

you guys are speaking a foriegn language here!! i was thinking of getting a diablo for my Magnum RT to accomadate for my soon to be CAI at Cat back. Let us know it works Crookster. would a mechanically DEclined person like myself know how to use it?
Crookster....I learned a new trick with my RT, holding both inside steering wheel buttons at the same time for 10secs brings up a whole new set of displays on the speedometer display. not my RT but newer ones have 1/4 mile timers and 0-60 timers, and some other cool stuff.

Anyone can use it, like most things. Some may just need to read the instructions, lol.

                        Wooooooohooooooo!!!!

                        Installed the Diablo!
                        Messed with the parameters:
                        1.) MDS OFF
                        2.) Shift points on 1-2 and 2-3 to 5700 RPM's
3.) Raised Speed Limitor to 155 MPH (Dont worry, I'm not going to even try it.)

Oh my god this thing is the ****! It snaps your neck even harder when you take off. I am squealing the tires whenever I launch from a light, no need to powerbrake anymore. Crispy shift points. Its like BOOM BOOM between each gear. I love it. Can't wait to get to the track!!!!!!

                        I already filled up twice.

Thank You Tbyrne Motorsports and Thank You Diablo!!!!! :ftmfw:
I recommend this product to everyone.

the other I saw a VW diesel with a bumper sticker that said..."I get 46MPG, what do you get?"

I just shook my head, pushed the accelerator and let 'em hear the hemi as I drove by. granted I did have to stop for gas a bit later!!J/K

Seriously though, with the adjustments on with the diablo, does that have any negative effects on the engine, trans or anything else?

^I'll worry about that when it happens.

Before I got the tune I always drove with Tow/Haul on, ESP Off and use Autostick.

So this Jeep is no stranger to abuse.

Auto stick is fun! Let me know if your diablo burns your engine! what octane setting are you on? if you use 93 octane setting, does that mean you have to put in 93 octane fuel?
