Coming from a Northern climate, we fish for a lot of the same stuff, although I'd say largemouth/smallmouth bass are my favorite, I always find myself tagging a nice Northern (who bite on anything) and in the rare case, a monster Muskie.

Not much of a Walleye guy, as bouncing a jig at a depth of 25 ft isn't my style of fishing.

Now you've got me wanting to leave work and get out on the lake!!!

Oh I've had my share of trips up into Basswood, nothing like the fight of a nice bass!

I've taken two "special" trips for bass fishing in my life. One to Lake Fork, Texas and Kentucky Lake, KY. Both amazing in their own way, although I recall when I got to Lake Fork, guys were looking at my "northern" bass equipment, thinking... "this guy came all the way from Canada to fish for crappie"! LOL

When I'm bass fishing at a Kawartha Lake in Ontario, I'm using 8-10lb test and medium to medium-light action rod. When I showed up in Texas with that equipment I was laughed at!!! I managed to put some stronger line on one of my medium action rods and ultimately did okay, but fishing in the south is certainly a different animal.

Deal, but which side of the border? As I understand it, there are no golf courses with holes on each side?
