Re: Vote for my wife!
I can't speak for others on this topic but it could just be that some people didn't feel comfortable creating an account with this company in order to vote. Possibly because it's just another thing to join/register with or could be a hesitation to receive more e-mail from another company when most people are already overwhelmed with legit e-mail as well as spam too...
I don't know for sure...
I get too much e-mail to process as it is so I'm hesitant to sign-up for anything that's going to mean getting more e-mail.
Just some random thoughts... guessess...

Re: Vote for my wife!
House Part is a site where you can apply to host a party and things are supplied for the party by leading brands. You fill out a survey and from that they pick people to advertise there products at a party. I have done one for Velveeta and they sent
Velveeta, Rotel, Cups, Tupperware, kool-aid and coupons.
Now I got this one and was sent
- 1 Tote bag
- 1 pack of 50 Ford logo napkins
- 1 pack of 15 Ford logo plates
- 1 pack of 15 Ford logo coasters
- 1 pack of 15 Ford logo cups
- 1 set of cookie cutters
- 15 Slingbags for your guests
- 10 Ford logo balloons
- 1 Ford Fusion banner
- 10 Ford logo pads
- 15 American Idol pens for your
Included with this one was a chance to win a Ford Fusion and for each vote you get an extra chance to win. Also when you vote you are entered into a chance to win 1 of 10 $500 giftcards or 1 of $100 giftcards. If you have any questions feel free to ask.

Interesting. If you step back and look at this from a marketing point of view this is a fairly aggressive marketing strategy.
Pretend you're in charge of the marketing department for XYZ company and out of all your choices to try to reach your market, or get the word out about your great products you include creating an online contest to win a large prize while at the same time tying in a house party and supplying at least a portion of the FREE products as an incentive for the participants to follow through on for more than likely, relatively small groups of people in likely limited geographical areas as one of your choices.
Just goes to show the way the retail market is changing to incorporate the Cyber-world into their marketing plans.
More traditional methods include,
Print ads - Magazines, Newspapers,
TV Commercials
Radio Commercials
Half hour infomercial
So it's an interesting change.
Now that SSMUFF has explained a little behind the scenes story, perhaps more people will be interested and you'll get some votes?

The link for the first one isn't exactly "comforting" either.
The page the link goes to now looks professional and legit, 2 things that people will instantly judge the page by and thus the offer/organization.
