    What a day!

It was awesome to meet and chat with so many detailing enthusiasts! The weather was great and free of any rain.

The class went very well. I sure learned a lot and got to try a few new tools. It's always great to learn from others.

    A bit of wetsanding practice:

    D/A sanding:

    Matching paint texture:

    D/A polishing on the RoadRunner:

Inspecting the surface using the Sun Gun:

    Rotary practice:

My first burn spot (took it all the way down to bare metal):

    Sanding with Abranet Soft:

    Some D/A practice:

I really had a great time. Jason did a fantastic job and helped to answer the tricky questions. It was very hands-on and everyone got to try something new.

Thanks for making this a great event!!!

Very cool. I've never seen pictures like this from a mobile class of this nature. I bet it was a blast.

I got the Road Runner pics from my phone, but I must have had a big old fingerprint smudge on the lens for other two as they were pretty blury, hopefully someone can post those...

A big thank you goes out to our host Chris,Jason and Meguiars for making this all possible. Met a great bunch of car crazy people along with some nice cars and hands on demonstrations of new to me products.

Chris, Jason, & Meguiar's, thanks for a super event. Had a great time, met some great people, learned about wetsanding by hand & by machine (Jason did an awesome job of showing how to do this), and even got to use the rotary for the first time. Given the chance I would go again. Members that lived within 300-350 miles you missed a fantastic funfilled day with a chance to learn a lot about detailing from a couple of very knowledgeable people (Jason & Chris). Thanks Chris for taking the time & effort to make this possible, thanks Jason for giving your time and sharing your knowledge, and thanks Meguiar's for sponsering this event. Attached are some pictures of the cars that were there.

It was definitely a blast! I learned so much about rotary buffing and detailing products in one day. The opportunity to use the different buffers and DA's was extremely valuable. Thanks to Chris for hosting the event and to Jason for sharing his vast detailing knowledge with us!

Re: Midwest Get Together - Pics

Glad to see everyone enjoyed the event. I would have loved to attend, but it was 710 miles for me, plus I've been busier at work than normal.

Perhaps we should try to do an event like this one a summer in the midwest. At least we know that Meguiar's is thinking about midwest, and even though I wasn't there I do have to thank them for that.

                          Thanks Meguiar's!!!!!

                            Not a problem!

I'm really glad everyone was able to safely make it down to the event. It took a lot of planning to get everything ready, but it was all well worth it!
