  • Wish me luck... Upcoming Knee Surgery

If anyone read my first post, I hit a deer on my R6 street bike back in October. I dislocated my left hip, broke my right femur, Broke my left collar bone, and broke my back in nine places with a couple of compression fractures..

I was non-weight bearing for almost 4 1/2 months and was in a full back brace from my waist to my neck for 4 1/2 months too...

fast forward 7 months later after a lot rehab,a lot of pain, and some great people helping me out... its time for some hardware removal

from about the five hundred x-rays I've had done, these were about two months after the accident and surgery.

Each picture was two x-rays I scanned and put together in photoshop..anyways... they are going back in this coming Tuesday to take out that bottom screw.. you can see it sticking out of the bone a little bit..

So I'll be off work again and surfing MOL so you guys better post some good stuff for me

so wish me luck and I'm hoping they'll let me keep that screw, it will be a good conversation piece...

    Thanks again

Owee (I think I misspelled that)! That looks painful. But don't worry, it could be worse.

              Ugh!

I broke my femur in high school football, last game my senior year!

Got me some staples, pins and reconstruction.

Take care of yourself, do what the docs say and don't rush it!

Well, I got that screw out today... It went pretty well, however the doc said they had to do some digging around to find the head on the screw. So swelling might be a little bit more noticeable then what we first thought...You decide...

                    Here is the screw

This is it laying on the keyboard on my laptop...

And finally here is the knee

Thats pretty cool they let you keep the screw and glad to hear everything went well! It does look pretty swollen, looks bigger next to the other knee. Hope your doin well.
