    Help: Coolest place to take car pics w/in 10 hrs of San Diego?

    Hey guys...

    I just got my first Fiesta Movement monthly mission and my mission is to travel at least 100 miles from San Diego, take 3 friends, and lots of pictures and/or video.

    The pictures and video don't have to be wholly involving the car, but I at least want some unique pictures involving the car. I will have a friend with a high-end DSLR camera, tripod, and the works. I want serious pictures...

    So far, I have considered Yosemite, San Luis Obispo, and I am currently looking into Red Rock Canyon State Park.

    Any suggestions? Preferably a 10 hour or less drive from San Diego.

    I think the grand canyon is about 10 hours away. That could have some cool shots.

    I would say Mexico, but yeah... not that great of an idea.

    Is it possible to catch a ferry that takes your car to Catalina? I'm not sure if they have those, I think there are only passenger ferries.

    I once put swirls in my paint just to see what it looked like.
    I don't always detail cars, but when I do, I prefer Meguiar's.
    Remove swirls my friends.

        You shouldn't have to go too far. Cabrillo National Monument in Point Loma has some nice twisty roads with a scenic backdrop of the bay and the Pacific.

          It stipulates that I must drive at least 100 miles from San Diego, though

          I just really want some unique above all... not standard fare tourist stuff.

                How about Sequoia or King's Canyon. Lots of good backdrop there.

                          It's too far away! I actually considered the caves in Sorora or something like that (crystal caves), but I don't have the time for a trip that long.

                            Be sure to get a photo of the Fiesta in front of the Mission at Carmel




                            And since you will only be a stone's throw from Monterey, grab a photo op at Cannery Row!




                            And the 17 mile drive which also includes Pebble Beach!
