  • ADS=Risky Transaction?

Last night I placed an order on ADS. Today, Visa calls and warns that the site is a high risk. Should I cancel the order?

Any specific details on why the site is high risk?
I have ordered from them many times with no issue and ADS has good ties with Meguiars.
Their site is secure and current with good encryption.

I have never had that happen before.
Were you spending over $200 or $300?

Visa must have something mixed up. ADS has been very reliable as many on MOL would attest.

I would go ahead and order, but it is my mom's card so she's not going for it. Unfortunately she's going to spend a lot more by ordering from autogeek and I won't get as much gear.

I've never heard of anyone having issues with ADS. Why don't you call them and explain what is going on and I'm Rick will correct any issues.

If it's your mother's card I would do the transaction through PayPal. That way she's protected by both the card company (Visa) and PayPal itself. If there's an issue then PayPal would go after the person and she could cancel the transaction with her card company. Oh, and PayPal never calls you beforehand to stop you from buying so she won't get any more surprise telephone calls about ADS...

She won't really be spending more...Autogeek has a price match policy. Just call in your order and explain to the sales rep you found the identical item on the ADS website for less. They will price match...
