I was driving on the 401 East yesterday going back to Toronto from Windsor and I saw the place called "Princess Auto" in Kitchener. They don't have a website, but the store looked pretty huge.

I'm wondering if any of our MOL members from this area have ever been to the store and if they carry automotive cleaning products. If so, which?

Just curious to know if it was worth the 102km drive?

Hey I live in Kitchener, and I've been to the Princess Auto in Brampton. Unfortunately they don't sell any car cleaning products like NAPA, Part Source, etc.

They're mainly good for cheap auto supplies and sell surplus of all sorts of things for auto and farm equipment.

They do have a website: princessauto.com

Hey quick question while I'm at it. Have you been able to find SwirlX in Ontario? I belong to a Saturn forum and am told you can get it out east and in Quebec, but I can't seem to find it here?

    Thanks!

      Fitty,

Princess Auto is a store that's tough to describe, but I'll give it a shot. Basically they sell everything from hydraulic and farm supplies (like a TSC) to welding equipment, air compressors, motors, hand tools, etc. The coolest part of the store is the surplus section, where you never know what you're going to get, usually at a deep discount.
They do carry the occasional name brand bust most of the products they carry is under their own line called "Power Fist". If you need a real oddball tool that you'll only ever use once you can usually get it cheaper there but if you're going to use something at least twice I've found it not to be worthwhile.
Anytie I've ever been in there I've never seen cleaning stuff (they're not like a Canadian Tire) so for you I wouldn't see the value in a 102km drive.
