Wow Nick sorry to hear how bad the paint is on this thing after you saying how excited you were to have it! Hopefully you will catch a break and the paint will harden up for you, I cant even imagine the frustration that would put me through! Hope it gets fixed man

I live in Texas, and with summer coming on strong right now, I may let it sit and see if it hardens up any. With 105-110* days coming up, it should give it some quality baking time if I leave it outside Not sure if this will work or not, but I know it'll cost about $1k to scuff and reclear it
Lets say you polish it after every 3 or 4 washes, do you think that in a year or two you will run out of clearcoat to remove?

And if the baking process in the sun does not work, is re clearing the truck a 100% gurantee it will no longer be soft?

I cant believe that Colorado is that sensitive. Any chance that if you wash it with extra caution by hand you will do no harm?

I am very interested in this if you havent noticed.

If it scratches so easily with a brand new microfiber, removing wet wax, then a wash is going to kill it

For the record, this is NOT factory Colorado paint. This is a respray with custom colors. And if I were to respray it, there is no garantee that the new clear would be any harder. I'm just exploring my options at this point, or just thinking out loud.

What about one of those miracle paint sealants that do everything and last for 5 years?

Awe man, you know I can't do that
After all that I preach to my customers about staying away from those "miracle" products, then me go and have it applied? Nah, can't do that

BTW, tried to call you yesterday. No answer, no message

Drive it through the nearest mud puddle, and learn to live with it dirty!
Someone mixed the paint wrong, I doupt it's going to get any harder.
