I am sure this is the 101st time this has been discused.but just curious what people are using.I have had a Valentine 1 for about 3yrs and love it.alot of money but i think it was worth every penny.i see escort's newest one has a camera that you can program your daily false alarms, which i think is really cool feature.yea the V1 is big and kinda ugly and has never changed. i love the arrows i think that is the best feature any radar has ever had.

Re: what kind of radar detector do you have?
I have a Beltronics Vector 955 Radar Detector. I love it. Sure it doesnt pick up the police on the side of the road with the lasers, but it picks up everything else.
I think its a great detector and I like how it tones down after the first 4 beeps and then goes a bit quieter.

Keep your foot out of it, saves gas, saves a ticket, may save your life.
Take your fast cars to the track! or at least don't get caught

Re: what kind of radar detector do you have?
This past weekend I used a wave. Seemed to work.
I picked up my new truck on Friday. Well, Saturday I was crusing down a 30mph road at about 42mph. There was a cop clocking people. When I got up to him he lower his gun. I looked at my speed and let off the gas. I gave a sheepish look and a wave, he nodded back. Didn't end up coming after me so I'm guessing he gave me a break. Hey, I'm not used to the new truck yet, it rides so nice it doesn't feel like I'm going that fast.Scott

Re: what kind of radar detector do you have?
I've been driving for 30+ years and I have never felt the need for a radar detector. My last speeding ticket was in 1992 and I have been ticketed maybe 3x in my life. Does this mean that I always drive at the speed limit? No, I routinely drive above it, especially on the highways, but I don't drive recklessly or in a manner that endangers other drivers or in a way that would get me noticed. Any cop or highway patrolman will tell you that their order of enforcement priority are drunk drivers, reckless drivers, and then speeders.

Re: what kind of radar detector do you have?
I got two tickets within the first year of getting my liscence, mostly because of a broken speedo, but I was speeding, and that's not an excuse, I just hated having to pay court fines instead of buying a new speedo. I'd like to get a radar detector, just to know if they are there, make sure I'm not speeding. I usually keep it within 5 over, and dont have a problem.2004 Mustang GT - Sonic Blue
