Anybody do window tint???

I'm going to be tinting the windows on 3 cars the coming weekend... just wondering if anyone has any helpful tips?

Its been a long time since I've done this, and all the cars I'm doing have the dot matrix, and very curved glass...

Luckly the tint will be pre-cut...

I love tint Windows!
But if you don't have professional tint, you'll have a hard time making it perfect
I'm still practicing but here are some tips
remove the rubber at the bottom
eBay has some instruction videos and other sites as well, do a search
I use soapy water, just a drop or two of soap
I hate pre-cut! The last one I bought SCRATCHED! And of course didn't fit, I cut my own. not to hard.
If your back window is curved and deep, good luck. You might want to pay someone for that $150 or so
I really can't give you much on "how" to tint you'll have to see how the pros do it in order to understand how, hench get a video

The brand is Solar Guard, and it sounds like a decent pre-cut setup...

I know its not rocket science... but I'm kinda thinking about just having it done... but I want it perfect, and I'm pretty sure no one else will take the time to make it right...

I would watch some youtube videos on how people tint, I got some great hints and tips from just watching the videos.

Go ahead and try it
It's fun to do
I can get the side windows no problem, back windows are usually
Your local auto parts store should have an installation kit
If it comes out bad you can always have it done by a pro

Its like $28 shipped, and includes an "installation kit"....

A squeegie and bottle I would imagine...

The rear hatch is coming off, being the back curved glass, so it should be fairly easy then... being able to just lay it down infront of me...

Also, the side windows are coming out of the car for regulator repair on the drivers side...

All glass will be out of the vehicle, so I can be messy.
