  • Ever wanted to be a spy?

The idea of living abroad, albeit temporary intervals, while tracking persons of interest and blending in is tremendously fascinating to me. However, there are no shortages of cons to this situation. Learning a new language, etc.

I was probably supposed to grow out of all this at age 13 but I suppose I never did. In fact, this wasn't even a thought in my mind until 22 or so. I should have joined the army and shouldn't have wrecked that motorcycle resulting in a scar on my leg. All well.

There is a "spy outlet" near my school. I have seriously considered taking my blacked-out car down to there, dressed in all black, wearing sunglasses, and go inside to see what's up, lol. Would be cool I suppose.

Yeah I used to think it would be the coolest thing, but then my mind went to being a fighter pilot

In D.C. there is a spy museum that is really awesome, if you are ever down there you should really check it out!

Oh yeah!! I had forgotten about that! I seriously need to go there. Hey, how about a MOL meet at the spy place this summer? 40+ members, that'd be pretty nice!

I like the idea of learning new languages. Getting caught and executed, not so much.

Don’t let the conventions of every day society dictate the dreams you pursue. This is a huge and complicated world we live in. There really are people out there doing amazing things that our families, friends and high school vocational guidance counselors couldn’t begin to imagine.

They’re not going to stop using them, just stop buying more of them. The idea is that “they” (those in favor of canceling further production) feel we have enough to do the job and that the money that would have been spent buying more would be more effectively used on other things.

Haha that would be an awesome meet!

and yeah they arent stopping production, they want to because they are saying that they have enough nowbut the government is saying to keep them coming because they dont want to put out anymore jobs and make more people angry! Good thing is maybe I have a chance of getting one

Re: Ever wanted to be a spy?

When I was in law school in NYC, I sent my resume to the FBI based on an ad they had posted on our electronic bulletin board. They were looking for individuals with law degrees that spoke a particular language which I speak.

I got a call back and an interview and I thought I was 100% in but near the end of the interview process they realized that I was not a US Citizen and therefore not eligible for the job. Would've loved to work for the FBI though.
