  • Something very important to remember.

To Mike, and all the powers that be,

There is one very important thing to remember while your moving everything around (almost every day lately), Guy's hate to ask for directions.
With the new sections added daily, and others moved from one category to another, I feel like I'm lost, and the road map wasn't folded correctly last time I used it.

Maybe it's time to go back to basics, and cut the number of sections down some. I have seen Mike apologize several times lately for not seeing a post and replying to it in a timely manner, possibly because there's now so many different areas he has to look through.

If Meguiar's has 2047 products, hopefully we don't end up with that many sections to surf through...

As a side note, I would like to thank you guys for allowing caching, I'm on dialup and the load times of the Meguiar's pages is so much faster now...

We now return you to your regularly scheduled program.

I think just having the 3 buffers into 1 area would help out tremdenously.

It's kind of a give and take situation, when I go to look for a post on using the dual action polisher and it's buried in the Detailing 101 forum, it can be difficult to sort through all the hundreds of posts and sometimes the search function just doesn't help.

That was the idea behind a few extra dedicated forums. Plus, if viewed in the light of the next 10 years or longer, (I plan on being here in the next 10 years), then I start to think some dedicated forums will be very helpful. If this was a short term program, then fewer forums would be fine.

I see your point. The forum can only get bigger. I guess doing it now would make it easier.

I would like to ditto what George just said,

I guess looking long term, your right. if this site keeps growing, then having dedicated areas will really pay off. And implementing them now is always better earlier than later.

I will also offer my moderating duties if needed, but so far this has to be one of the most easy gong forums I have seen. I am a moderator on 2 other small dedicated sites, and they are running pretty smoothly too.
