So I stopped and dropped some parts for my work at a repair shop by my house yesterday and on the counter was a display for 3M headlamp restoration service, so im reading the display and looking at the before and after pics and what the service contains and I look at the price they charge customers $130.00, that crazy who would pay that much, a " full service detail " at the local detail shop is anywhere from $99.00-$150.00 and the work is bad. I dont know how many they sell but I could never charge that much, maybe its just me, whats everyone else charging?

Re: Headlamp restoration service
Lots of people have dull hazy headlights and have no idea how easy it is to restore clarity with an $8.00 bottle of PlastX and a little passion behind an applicator pad.
Or about a kit that works with an electric drill for about $25.00

Re: Headlamp restoration service
I would buy Meguiars Headlight Restoration Kit.
I do not know what the 3M kit is, but that seems too much.
I do not let anyone else touch my truck, except for the mechanic.
But he does not touch the paint.Joel

Unfortunately because they can. Many people don't want to spend $500 to replace headlight assemblies, so $130 is a bargain to them. The people that know better than to spend that much and knows what a bottle of PlastX will do would never allow their headlights to become that bad.A common mistake that people make when trying to design something completely foolproof is to underestimate the ingenuity of complete fools.
