          Re: Chrome Question

I tried my Mag/aluminum polish on them today and it didn't do much compare to my van's aluminum wheels, so I was just wondering.

            Re: Chrome Question

Polished aluminum and clear coated possibly? When you work the Mag & Aluminum polish in, does your applicator turn black? If not, they're clear coated and you'll have to treat them like paint. I know they are not chrome. So they are either polished aluminum, or polished with clear. If I remember correctly, they are not cleared.

              Re: Chrome Question

Yeah, there was no Black at all?

So I should use M80/M83 or the 105/205 and Wax Like Paint... Thanks

Correct! If you're not getting any black, that means they are cleared. Treat it like paint. M105 will turn them pretty much perfect! Or the 83/80 combo will work also

                  Re: Chrome Question

                  Thanks for the Help Nick!

While you're here, which QD do you prefer?

I have had a lot of success with UQD but want to try Last Touch or Final Inspection?

                  What do you recommend?

                    Re: Chrome Question

All will work great. I prefer Final inspection, but it gets expensive since you can only buy it by the gallon. So for clay, I'll use Last Touch(I buy it buy the 5 gallon jug, then mix it 1:1 for 10 gallons of product). But if I'm doing a final wipe down on a car, then I'll use Final Inspection.

So you prefer Final Inspection over all of the others, I can get it in the 16oz Sample

                        Re: Chrome Question

Yes sir, I do. But all will work well. Just don't try and use UQD as a lubricant for clay.
