  • All You Missouri people

I am taking a trip down to Saint Robert Missouri next weekend From Sioux Falls South Dakota. I am looking for a good route to take down there.

There seems to be so many routes you can take. I am trying to avoid a bunch of traffic and turns if all possible.

I have found one that looks pretty simple.

To save hassle, I will copy the directions. Just wondering if anyone is familiar with theses area's Just wondering if lives around these area's that might know these roads or anything

That way will definitely work, just be prepared for a lot of two lane highways once you get off of I-70. There's just really not a good, short way to get to St. Robert from where you're coming in from. It'd be a snap if you were headed in from St. Louis instead of the KC side.

The only time I go there is driving through it on I-44 on my way to St. Louis. Once you get off of I-70 I would expect speed limits probably not above 60, possibly 55.

The route you have chosen seems to be about the most direct possible. MO-17 is a scenic road with some neat vistas. Just watch your speed and you will be fine. Enjoy your trip to Missouri!

That route looks pretty good. I live near that I-70 exit. What time? If on Friday between 4:00 and 6:30PM local time the exit is stop and go.
On Saturday it should be wide open.

I-70 to Marshall is 70 MPH after Blue Springs. 65 South is a pretty good road the last time I was on it.
            Enjoy your trip!

              Re: All You Missouri people

We are actually leaving Sioux Falls at 7 A.m Thursday morning. Its about 350 miles before we hit I-70 so, I am guessing we would hit that in the later part of the afternoon? Doing a little research, The internet tells us its about an 9 hour drive.. Now if thats real close or not. Im not sure. The total miles of the trip to our hotel is 560 miles. I am sure hoping we are in Saint Roberts by 4-5ish. Enough to grab some supper and a few ice cold ones after a long day of driving!

You may hit that exit at rush hour but one can be lucky. A good station for info is KMBZ 980 AM.
