  • Went to Borders Today...

So I went to Borders today, and went in search of a book on Auto Detailing. They only had a few books. But one thing all the books had in common is they all had Meguiars Products being used. I ended up buy a book called Ultimate Auto Detailing Projects. Seems like it is going to be helpful in learning about engine and interior detailing. Also it may be helpful in learning how to wetsand and buff.

        Re: Went to Borders Today...

One of the problems with the books such as the one you bought is how out of date much of the information will be.
By the time the material is compiled, published, marketed, many thing may have changed. New products, new techniques, new tools are coming on the market regularly.
I just took a quick glance and cotton terry towels are still their recommended drying tool. I didn't read any further.
That's not to say you won't get any information of value from it, but it isn't likely to have the answers to all your questions.
The information is books is a lot like the information on the internet. Some good, some not so good, some worthless and some just plain wrong.

Use your own judgment on what they recommend and ask questions here if you aren't comfortable with something.

Let us know if you find it helpful at all. The only problem is everything changes so quickly. It is hard to have a do it yourself book that is constantly updated with the latest technology. Enjoy your reading.
