3M Painters Tape

I have seen a lot of pictures with people using 3Ms Green Painters Tape. I was wondering where you have found it, besides on the internet. I have looked a Wally World(Wal Mart) and Lowes and Menards. I did not find any of the green tape there. I hope you guys can help.

You will have to go to an auto body supply shop for the green stuff. I've never used it so I can't say how it compares to the blue.

Edit: I think AutoZone might carry some. You could check the auto parts stores too.

the blue stuff should work just as good and i know menards has it in various "sticky" levels

That one comes in 12 sizes package 150$ cost.

Never used it. Simply I't not available in my country.

I know Home Depot sells it here in Canada, I'd be hard pressed to believe big brother in the US doesn't...

I think the idea of the tape was that it could stick on surfaces that are hard to stick to, and since the trim on my truck is detailed it is slick and therefore the painters tape does not stick that well. I bought some stuff at Lowes with medium stick, and it says it sticks to trim (of a house) but we will have to see how it holds up.

Walmart should carry the green 3m tape in the automotive section near the touch-up paints.

Be careful with the tape that's more sticky on your trim. I've ran across problems where the adhesive will be left behind on trim, and it's a bear to remove. Just FYI

Buy some, and stick a piece on your trim. Try a small piece first, and let it sit for a day or so. Take it off and see what it looks like.

The only thing I have run into is the adhesieve being left behind, but it came off with some Hyper Dressing I believe. Also If you pull it off to quickly you lose some trim. Oops!!!

Well I think that this is the first time that I can tell you that it's very easy to get it here in Argentina, 3M has a lot of products here and I 've used the green tape with good results. I couldn't beleive when I went to my 3M shop and they got it, you know here it's almost impossible to get meguiars products...

I've seen it around here at both Autozone and some Wal-Mart's, so it shouldn't be too hard to track down.
