I don't think its that he doesn't care, I think its just that he doesn't know. Many people think swirls and scratches come with the car and once the scratch is there, its there forever.
A sight to see is Jay and one of his Mechanics cruising down Buena Vista at 5pm on a week night, doing 20mph in a 35mph zone. The steamers he drives, don't like all the starting and stopping for traffic lights, I guess.
My Father-in-law has been in his garage a couple of times now and says the cars that should be detailed are and others that are more of his "drivers" are in great shape but not "show-car" shape. The man is "CAR CRAZY"!
