    I know the feeling.
I polished my truck a few weeks ago and washed it, and went when did those scratches get on the hood. Although I was doing it at night so not everything was taken out but still.

I have sold most of what you see in the botom photo. I do use the QID there were also bottles of UQD, kept most of them for use on my vehicle and the ones I detail.

When you go to a car show and take more pictures of paint than of the whole cars!!!

also, while at a car show you wince and feel bad when people rub all over and lean on the cars! I went through the whole show just wanting to be like DONT DO THAT! AAAGGGHHHH!!! lol, oh and they had a detailing truck there with like some 20's on it from premier detailing i think? anyone know them? lol

I haven't been on MOL long enough to answer the question "You know you've been on MOL too long when...", but I've certainly caught the bug. A friend of mine came to visit last week and rented a car from Dollar Rent-a-Car. I drove her from the airport to the rental office. The interior of the rental assigned to her was a mess (heavy dust and coffee splatter all over the armrest and center console) and the exterior was telltale swirl city. While she waited in line to finish her paperwork, I grabbed my canister of Megs Int Quik Wipes from my trunk and cleaned up the front half of the cabin. If she had the time (she was headed to LA to visit with family) I would have washed the rental, clayed it, and even would have broke out the compound and Swirl-X on the finish. Hey, she got the LDW, I could have experimented on that rental all day!

The problem as I see it is that you have all the ScratchX tubes... and now new products are out!

I fear buying lots of products... I still havent gotten through my #21 1.0 yet to try the Nxt 2.0. And I wont be trying any other glass cleaners besides Nxt for a few years....

I noticed that the LCD panel of my officemate's cellphone is scuffed. I 'borrowed' his cellphone, then go down to the basement where my car is parked. I whipped out my PlastX and polished out the LCD panel to look better than new.

I then saw that the car parked next to me (also owned by an officemate) had a big cat-scratch on the fender. I whipped out my ScratchX -- scratch is history.

I must have used my ScratchX and PlastX more often on other people's stuff than on my own car.

When the only website you go to is MOL and you drive down the road checking out other cars to see how bad they are swirled.

You look at the cars on movies to see how shiny they are, if they bead water during a rain and if they're swirled or not. How sad!

DAMN! I remember doing the exact same thing when I watched the Ironman movie! I don't recall what car Starck took to that party but I do remember watching how the water beads flew from the hood while driving fast in the rain!

Wasn't it the Audi R8, the silver one?

You've been on too long when you park on the south 40 at a parking lot and look back and admire your car with 135,000 miles + and think....Dang, looking good
