I was wondering how we find the threads and posts that were done with in the past 24 hours. I checked at school, and did not get far at looking at the posts, and now I want to see them. Please Help. Thanks!!

    Re: New Posts

I'm actually not sure but how it works but the "New Posts" feature is driven by a cookie in your browser settings.

What's funny, is I never click on the "New Posts" feature, instead just continually monitor the "Recent Threads" box on the forum homepage.

Does your school realize the academic value of MOL? I'd be happy to call them up and give them an EDUCATION...

            Re: New Posts

I like the New Posts button, it's a simple one-click and I can see everything that has changed since I last logged in. I can say with high confidence, that if the 'New Posts' button wasn't there, I wouldn't visit MOL as often.

Does anyone else feel like this?

How many people use the "New Posts" feature of vBulletin?

Maybe someone should start a poll?

Every time I come to MOL, I go right to the "New Posts" button.

                    Re: New Posts

I know there was a thread on this last year.
I searched for it but could not find it.
I had it bookmarked but then my Computer Crashed and I lost it.

without new post button i would not look as much as i do. i did see recently that the "new posts" last a lot longer than they did before.

But, for people who visit the site from work, we need to be as efficient as possible to cut down the surfing time. Today's Posts requires some sorting. New posts are just that, new posts from your last visit.

That may be true in your case, but I don't think that is what the OP was looking for.
