Transmission Line Broke

There was a pink/red/orange colored fluid that I noticed yesterday underneath my truck. I did not know for sure what it was but I suspected transmission fluid. After school today I took it to the shop, and sure enough a mechanic who trained with Ford said the transmission line broke from the front of the truck to the back. He ordered the parts today and the new lines will be installed on Thursday. I was really embarrassed though, because my truck is so dusty from all of the salt, and because I have the new Meguiars Decal on.

Sorry to hear about your truck.

Thursday is not that far down the road though, good thing you caught ti early and not later. I am sure when the weather gets better you will have a chance to clean up your truck

Glad you caught it before any major damage was done to the tranny. Thursday is just around the corner.

If it makes you feel any better at all, the transmission oil pump went out in my Neon a couple of weeks ago. Took the whole front end apart to pull the transaxle and replace the pump then put everything back together. None of the gears work except reverse!? Have to take it all back apart again....
