I complain about Texas weather when it dips into the 30's
I get hourly updates on the AZ weather from my friend who moved out there.

I definitely want to move somewhere warm, but selling our homes right now is not really an option.

It would be fairly easy for me to do since I would only need to move considerably less than 1/2 of what I own. By the time my wife took 1/2 of the gross amd the attorneys took their 20%+, I could probably get it all in my mini-van. The problem there is she would probably get the van.

Have him send you the hourly updates next summer when it hits 100 to 115 degrees for several days.
Ask the people in California about rain, mudslides, earthquakes.
Florida heat and humidity with a hurricane or two thrown in can get interesting, too.
Every place seems to have it's good points and it's drawbacks.

Personally, I would rather sweat my butt of in 100+ degree temps for a month out of the year, then to deal with your winters. Anything below 30* gives me nightmares

Just like you people adjust to the heat, we learn to live with the cold.
Since I am truly a warm weather person, the 100 degrees would be something I could live with. I would probably be happy if the temperature never got below 70 or 75 degrees year round.
Might be a little tough on a "White Christmas".

We'll be in the 80's this weekend. Right now it's about 65 degrees

It was -12 @ 5:30am. when I woke this morning. By 7:00am. it was -15.
It is now 12:00pm. and it's warmed up to -9.

Yup, its been pretty dang cold here too. Not THAT cold but its cold for me..

Classes just started this week(yesterday actually). Had two yesterday(one was canceled) and should of had two today. Yesterday I got an email saying one of my classes was canceled for today but I still had one at 9:25am. Got up this morning at 7am, got ready, drove to class, walked 20min to class and had ice on my eye lashes when I got to class.... There was a sign on the door saying it was canceled.

Never go to cold country in the winter. Bring all your clothes, layer everything and you might survive.
