Hey guys, I have these model cars because they're my dream cars.. Hahaha! I have a Murcielago but I placed it in my uncle's room.. Anyway, I just wanna let you guys know i coated these with NXT Tech Wax!! Hahaha! Is it crazy??
Did you guys notice that the cars are lowered? I mean the wheels are tucked in and the Carrera GT is just ground-low. Hehehe! I got a lowering kit for them!! Hahaha! Just playing.. I removed the spring.. It looks good but they don't move anymore.. It's ok since I don't move them around.. Hehehe! I might try #7 next time on them before I do the wax.. hahaha!
I build model cars and compete at shows with them. #7 is a fantastic product for the final process. I have won several first places and even recieved a best paint award with one of my models. If your really interested in getting a mirror like finish on your models just let me know and I'll give you guys all the secrets I have learned. The last model I built for competition I have a little over 400 hours in it with almost 200 hours of that on the paint and body. I wish I had some photos for you. I'll try to get some posted. Yes I am a little bit obsessed, but it is all in fun.

1BadMach1,
Hey man! What's up? Thanks for replying! So, what kind of model cars do you build? I have no idea where to buy the custom ones.. I've only bought these models.. Hehehe! Yeah, I'm really interested in knowing how you prep your models... I would really appreciate that.. Hehehe! Yeah, it's fun but time consuming
I buy model cars at the local hobby shop, the plastic kits. There are also a million places online to get them. My brother and I spend hours in his basement building. We have a dedicated paint booth for finish painting, with and exhaust fan and lighting to help out. I use a Badger dual action air brush and automotive paint. I start out sanding with 400 grit and progress through 12000, (Not a typo, that really says twelve thousand) then the polishing starts. Like I said before, I finish the models with #7 and that usually makes the paint look deep. I really wish I had some photos with me. I'll try to post some tomorrow. The last one I did was a 1964 427 AC Cobra. It is fully wired, the doors, trunk, and hood open with custom built scale hinges. I manufactured real knock offs so the wheels go on and off just like the real car. The Cobra is 1/16th scale so it was a little easier to work on. I'm doing a Mini Cooper right now and I also have a GT-40 on the bench I'm working on too.
