  • Someone Keyed my car - seriously, why do people do such things? 56k take a nap

    Well, it's pretty deep.

I spent a week repairing a nice gash that the car had when I bought it, just when I was pretty satisfied with my work, I decided to take it out and clean it up a bit. Upon washing it, I noticed some deep scratching in the hood. Here are the pics:

Have to fork over the $500 deductible for a repaint, I don't think it'll cost under $500 for a repaint on the hood. Being that it may raise my rates, I may have to fork over the the $1000 or so it'll cost to replace to save myself in the long run.

Stuff like this makes me want to not even own a decent car.

    I agree.

It's one of the reasons I have a beater to use for a daily driver, if something bad happens to it, it just doesn't matter.

    Sorry to see the mishap...

Yeah, I have a beater as well....

Not sure when/where this happened. I usually only drive it on the weekends, or maybe on a Friday if traffic is light.

Wouldn't matter anyway, my car just happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time, really unfortunate.

sorry to hear about this, some people are jealous plain and simple. this kind of stuff annoys me to no end, and it's a shame you didn't catch them in the act. good luck with your re-paint.

Envy, jealousy...just a couple things. Sorry to hear that, im scared sometimes to drive to my walmart because i know there are certain people who have some issues and just want to cause someone else pain. I always park far out or somewhere hidden.

              I have similar issues.
              It really stinks.
Sorry to here the bad news.
But my brother ran into a driveway marker after I finished polishing the truck.
I looked at it pissed and walked away. My mom said the reflecter paint came right off.
But I will see in the morning and post pictures if there is stuff to look at.

Somebody did this to our F-150 at my dads work (used to be) and the thing that's really upsetting was that the parking lot was a covered, underground garage and you can't get in without your badge. That means it was somebody he worked with.

That is terrible. People just do not have any respect any more for others property. It is like I can't have something that nice. Why should you? That stinks.

This one was my more reliable toy - a 2005 Evo VIII with a GT35r, around 450hp.

I am worried about bringing out my RX-7 when it's done, the paint is custom and much nicer. The paint on the EVo in the pictures above is just factory paint. I still need to wet sand and remove all the orange peel, I was practicing on the beater to get it down so I could do it. When I was washing it I noticed those scratches =/

Here is the paint on the RX7

After looking at it for a few minutes, we figured out it says "****!!!"

                        *sigh*
